I saw these tuners on a youtube video and they looked interesting so I ordered up a set and installed them on my trusty Carvin. The install was super easy and one thing that these tuning machines have going for them is that you don’t have to worry about positioning of a screw hole or anything else like that. They just screw into the tuner hole with no extra stabilizing needed like a traditional tuning machine. Once installed, you need to read the instructions about how to string up your guitar and loop the unwound strings through the locking collar. Especially your first time stringing your guitar with these, DO NOT CUT THE STRINGS UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE TUNED UP AND PLAYED FOR 5-10 MINUTES. You may have a string slip, you have want to pull a string tighter and you will have a very hard time doing that if you cut the strings flush at the tuning machines already :).
After I got these installed and my guitar strung up and tuned again, I liked the look and the tuning held. Even through a band rehearsal the tuning held up. I was using locking tuners before on this guitar, but I think it holds tuning even better now. Maybe that is partially because of the slight enhancement of the angle of the strings over the nut now. They definitely don’t slip in the tuning machines.
Changing strings with these is a little more inconvenient with these tuners than with traditional locking tuners, mainly because you need a tool to do it. The initial install is easier than any other tuning machines, though. They hold tune perfectly and they look cool. That all evens out to 5 stars in my book.

Really great tuners easy to fit – completely non invasive as they slot into the headstock and then fasten at the back with the knurled nut and rubber washer ,> I have been sent the new version with a covers at the back which go over the string ends so no more sore fingers! As previous review mentions wait until you have tuned up and tested before you snip the surplus string length so that you can get the best results. I have also used steinberger tuners on another guitar and although these are also good, the riotworks give a much nicer finished look without the top heavy locking screws.
String changes do require the Allen key, but I found removing the old strings is much quicker than with traditional tuners (particularly the wound ones) so its a pretty quick process.
Tuning stability has been great

Great great great tuners, couldn’t be happier. Fit and finish is great, they look rad, tuning holds like crazy, and have super accurate tuning. And it could be a placebo because they look so cool, but I’d swear my sustain improved. Install is a breeze. My only recommendation is on your first time stringing up, have a backup set handy. There’s a slight learning curve but I’m also kinda dumb sometimes.
